RSS Marine Limited is a specialist marine consultancy, offering our clients an integrated approach to fisheries and environmental aspects of offshore constructions and management of the offshore marine environment. As a result RSS Marine are currently seeking a high calibre, experienced and motivated Consultant to join our team in the marine, renewables, fisheries and oil and gas industries. The successful candidate will have consultancy experience in the marine environmental sector, ideally with an EIA / Consenting specialism and preferably a network of clients and contacts in the marine industry and fisheries sectors. You will be well versed in all marine environmental and planning legislation and have the ability to undertake a range of work packages from Environmental Impact Assessments to Individual Project Management roles. We would anticipate candidates having at least a BSc (an MSc or the equivalent professional experience would be advantageous) in a relevant discipline and relevant marine consultancy/work experience. You should also be an enthusiastic individual who is able work as part of a multidisciplinary team and individually run projects. This will therefore require excellent assessment and report writing skills, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills. You will be primarily office-based, although site visits and client meetings are a requirement; therefore, a full driving licence is essential. Progress within the role will be limited only by your ambition, and by your ability to deliver. The position is initially a 6 month probationary contract with options to extend after this time.
